Humpback Whale Scrimshaw on Walrus Tusk

This wonderful scrimshaw of a humpback whale was created by award winning Siberian Yupik Eskimo artist Alvin Aningayou.  Alvin used a beautiful fossil walrus ivory tusk as a surface to scrimshaw the fine detail and individual characteristics of this magnificent mammal.
