This handcrafted doll was created by the late Maryann Sundown. The head is carved from wood and the fur parka is made from red fox with sheared beaver trim on hood, and seal skin mukluks. Maryann, a Yupik Eskimo from Scammon Bay, Alaska, was a renowned for her traditional dance, weaving and doll making.
