This extrodinary baleen basket was woven by Harry Hank, Inupiat, from Point Hope, Alaska. The uniquely shaped basket is intricately and tightly woven black baleen with a slight white baleen accent weave.
The basket features a beautiful polar bear finial carved from fossil walrus ivory. The piece is signed Harry Hank, Barrow, AK.
