This finely crafted Ulu knife is by Athabascan artist Leroy Barlip III from the village of Gulkana, Alaska. The cutting blade is made from fine steel and is extremely sharp. The Ulu pictured features a handle made of caribou antler. Leroy uses either caribou or moose antler for handles and as a display stand. The handle features an scrimshaw image of an bear.
