Master carver and scrimshaw artist Fredrick Kingeekuk, Yupik, from Savoonga, St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, created this delightful walrus. The piece is expertly carved, finely detailed demonstrating Fredrick's talent and sill working with walrus ivory. He used inlay baleen to define the eyes and flippers. The work is signed.
